APS
works to end domestic violence and help women and children whose
lives are devastated by abuse. APS believes that every person
has the right to live in a home free of violence.
APS’s
board, comprised of career law enforcement officers, seeks out
the most in need due to this National epidemic. APS funding
supports:
•
Transitional Shelters for Battered Women and Children - Shelter,
food, counseling, parenting groups, employment referrals,
children’s programs.
•
Victims of Domestic Violence – Special cases where emergency
life-lines can mean life or death.
•
After School Programs – Helping recovering mothers during
the critical transition back to normal society.
•
Education – Breaking the cycle with programs aimed at
victims and perpetrators.
